Fischer has one of the best looking, and best skiing women’s lines this season. The Koa skis use light wood core reinforced with carbon for a smooth bit lively feel. The Koa 84 was a big favorite at the test. Susan nut-shelled it well, “easy to ski but can ski anything”. The 84 is also a very light ski, and comes with a notched tail for climbing skins, so it’s backcountry ready. Koa 75 shares the lightweight and easy turning characteristics of the 84, but in a narrower package. This makes the 75 even more nimble, and a great ski for making lots of turns on groomed runs.
The rockered Watea 98 is a versatile and playful ski that is perfect for exploring Mammoth’s steep terrain, and natural snow. It’s tip and tail rocker combined with a prow shovel make funky mixed snow conditions way more fun than you can imagine.
