Lange invented the plastic ski boot, and has a long history of World Cup success. They still make great race boots, but their Fluid line is more user friendly and popular.
The “Crazy Blue” colored World Cup boots are stiff, reactive and low volume. Their stance is not as aggressive as the Tecnica Race Pro, but it’s still a demanding and powerful boot. The 120 is pretty stout, the 100 may be a better choice for all mountain skiing.
The Fluids are wider than the WCs, and have a more upright stance. Their flex is much more progressive, and feels softer than similarly rated World Cups. This makes the Fluid 120 a great freeride boot for guys with wider feet. The 100 is softer, and is better suited to lighter or less aggressive skiers.
The Exclusive 100 FR is a great boot for the exploring the whole mountain. Its neutral stance, versatile fit and sweet flex add up to a great Freeride boot. The Exclusive 80 is softer and perfect for the aspiring advanced skier.
