Horseshoe Lake Horseshoe Lake is one of the Mammoth Lakes Basin. It is a wonderful place for a picnic and a paddle. Sandy beaches and a "no motor boats allowed" policy make this lake a very kid friendly lake. This year the water level is extremely low so the walk from the parking area to the water is longer than normal. The good thing is that this year there is a small waterfall at the southwest end of the lake. Please note that this is a very dog friendly lake!
